Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Times

The “ships in” date shown on the cart page indicates when your order is expected to leave our warehouse. To make things simple, all items in your order will be shipped together. Final delivery typically takes 4–10 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.

Once your order has shipped, we’ll email you with the tracking details and shipping information.

We regularly update shipping estimates on our website and on the Track My Order page. However, please note these timelines are estimates and may be subject to change. Thorvald & Design cannot be held responsible for unexpected delays beyond our control.


Delivery Fees

Delivery charges are calculated based on your order total and zip code. To view your exact delivery fee, simply add your item(s) to the cart and proceed to checkout.

Please note: The delivery fee you pay does not reflect the full carrier cost, as Thorvald & Design covers a significant portion of the shipping expense.


Delivery Methods

FedEx Delivery

Smaller items such as lighting and dining chairs are delivered via FedEx. For residential addresses, delivery is available 7 days a week; for commercial addresses, delivery is available Monday through Saturday.

Threshold Delivery

Larger items like sofas, dining tables, and lounge chairs qualify for threshold delivery. This includes scheduling your delivery at a convenient time and placing the items in the first secure and sheltered area on your property (e.g., garage or covered porch).

White Glove Delivery

We offer premium white glove delivery in select zip codes for an additional fee. If available in your area, this option will appear at checkout. This service includes:

  • Scheduled delivery at your convenience

  • In-home placement

  • Unpacking and basic assembly (where applicable)

  • Removal of all packaging materials


Missed Delivery

Parcel Shipments (FedEx)

If you’re not home during a FedEx delivery, your order may be left at your doorstep. If the package cannot be safely delivered, FedEx will attempt delivery again the next day.

Threshold & White Glove Delivery

If you’re unavailable during the pre-scheduled delivery window, a $100 fee will apply. In case of a rejected delivery, Thorvald & Design will handle the return, but a 50% restocking fee (based on your order subtotal, excluding shipping and return costs) will be deducted from your refund.


Defective or Damaged Products

Please inspect all items carefully at the time of delivery. If the packaging appears open or damaged, make sure to mark “damaged” on the delivery note or electronic signature device. Alternatively, you may refuse the delivery and label it as “damaged” so the item can be returned to our warehouse.

If you discover any damage, missing parts, or incorrect items after opening the package, contact us within 30 days of shipment. Be sure to include photo or video evidence when reaching out via email.

Once reviewed, we will issue a replacement or replacement parts at our discretion, free of charge. These will be shipped as soon as stock becomes available.

Important: Replacements will be for the same item only—we cannot offer changes to color, style, or finish. Returns are not accepted for damaged items, and we do not provide refunds for items damaged during transit.
